Sometimes, your computer gets infected–and you can’t trash the application or virus that it infecting your computer. That’s when it comes to resetting your computer. And it might sound easy, but this thing is easier said than done. You might think that all you have to do is go into settings, and click Reset my System, but that’s not all. You have to deal with where to put your files, and your disks, and all of that stuff. And it’s even worse if your installation is older and you’ve made a lot of changes to your system. If you choose to reset your system all those years of configuring your system will be erased.

On a MacOS computer, there’s less to deal about than Windows. First of all, with MacOS, there’s a simple Do you want to keep your files or not? box, and then you just click RESET. There’s still the bother of losing everything you’ve done, but it’s much easier to SET UP than Windows.

You have to deal with re-activating your Windows License, which can sometimes really be a pain. As I said in another post, the world of Windows Activation is REALLY, REALLY AGGRAVATING. You have to enter your product key, bu if you have an OEM license or a digital license, you have to WAIT for it to figure out that you have one, and with MacOS, it’s just Create User Accounts, then Set Up Your Hard Disk. And that’s all/ But with Windows, there’s a whole crazy process of setting it back up. Windows just makes everything harder when it comes to setting up and reinstalling an operating system.

It shouldn’t be hard to the point where you can’t even set up your system. And that’s almost what Windows makes the whole process seem like. You should just be able to configure your disk, set up your account(s), and be done with it. There shouldn’t be any Activation or Apple ID or iCloud nonsense. You should deal with that later. But I know, some stuff you have to deal with when you set it up, like your disk, and your account. Otherwise the machine’s unusable.

The worst part of the whole Windows reinstallation prcess is the Activation process. You have to deal with Product keys, licenses, and everything that brings the Windows world to the worst. Activation is the ABSOLUTE worst part of the reinstallation process.
