You can see the error code 0xC004C003 in the "error box' with a description of what it means, which is really handy. This error means your key has been blocked, or has been used on another computer.

As you know, Microsoft Windows has this system of Product Activation, which was first seen in Windows XP. And it’s flowed down through all of the different Windows versions. But in Windows 10. it’s hardest to activate.
If you’ve already pushed yourself to activate Windows and pay for it, then you’re going to need to actually do it. First you’ll need to go to Settings, and then just click on the “Windows isn’t activated.” link on the homepage. That will take you to the activation screen.
Then you can activate windows. But you get an error code 0xC004C003, meaning your key has been used already on another computer. This error can only show up if you’ve ordered your key from a place other than Amazon or Microsoft (which you know is going to be 100% safe.) The reason you only get this with third-party sellers is because the keys that are from other places may have been used by the previous owner of the key if it’s sold for retail.
This error can be extremely annoying, but there are some ways to troubleshoot it. The obvious way is to copy your error code and get on the Microsoft tech forum to try and find an answer. If you can’t find a solution to your problem there, then you can try going to the Microsoft Chatbot. The chatbot has always worked to solve any kind of Windows activation problems that might arise, so don’t get worried that the chatbot won’t solve your problems.
I’m sure that if you’ve gone through a whole lot of work trying to get that key that just failed during activation, then I’m sure you’ll be extremely depressed to find out that all of that work was for nothing. But it’s not always like that. You may not have to get a refund for your key and purchase another one. You might even get lucky, and all you would have to do was take a quick look on the Microsoft Tech Support forum, and then you’d be done troubleshooting your issue. But the main thing here is that the solution to your problem depends on what your problem is.
